First Corinthians 13 is considered to be the great love chapter of the Bible. It's here that we get a comprehensive definition of love. Many times we read this with the understanding of how God wants us to love each other. This is certainly an important application. However, it's also important to understand that it's describing the way God loves us. We can love this way because He first loved us this way. - The Quality Of God's Love.

There were 2 men who each committed a sin against Jesus one evening. One of them was Peter. He denied Jesus 3 times. The other one was Judas who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Many times the idea of living for God is cloaked with suffering and sacrifice. However, we see in Psalm 1 that the person who chooses to live all out for God is described as happy and blessed! - Permission To Be Happy? Granted!

We see a story in the Old Testament where David and his men came home to find it burned to the ground. Their wives and children were taken and all seemed lost. However, there was an inflection point of faith, when David chose to encourage himself in the Lord.
