Here is perhaps the greatest philosophical question of man, "Is there life after death?" On this Easter Sunday, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we also celebrate the answer to this question. - There Is Life After Death!

As John opens his Gospel, he makes this proclamation, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." What a beautiful picture of the power & love of God. His light proactively shines on us in a way that the darkness can't stop it. - The Light That Shines On You.
The Lord spoke a prophetic word of encouragement to the people of Israel through the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 43:18-19), "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." The wilderness and deserts of life can be an intimidating place for us but not for God. He can make roads in our wilderness rivers in our deserts. - When God Does A New Thing.
We find an amazing promise in the Word of God (James 5:14-15) that encourages anyone who is sick to call for the elders of the church and receive prayer for healing. There's a place in scripture where the Psalmist (Psalm 42:5-6) spoke to his own soul and demanded that he put his hope in God! If you don't talk to your soul, "other things" will. We can try to find hope in those "other things" that are not God. They can even provide a temporary distraction from our trouble but are actually a false hope. God made a promise to Abraham that He would make him a great nation and that all the families of the earth would be blessed. So, 25 years later, the promise was fulfilled in Isaac! There's a biblical account of Jesus healing a group of 10 men of leprosy (Luke 17:11-19). The amazing thing about it was that only 1 of the 10 came back to say, "Thank You!" You would think that showing a little gratitude for being healed from a life threatening disease would be pretty basic. Sometimes we need to get back to the basics. - Gratitude 101.
Jesus said (Matthew 6:22-24) that if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be filled with light. However, if your eye is unhealthy, your whole body will be filled with darkness. The battle between light & darkness centers around your eye. - The Battle For Your Eye.
Just as Joshua was taking over for Moses, the Lord gave him a command. He declared, "Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!" God was with Joshua and He is with you too! Fear Not - I Am With You.
