Dare To Imagine

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Imagination is a powerful thing.  We are commanded to love the Lord with all our mind (deep thought, mental exercise).  What would it look like if all your prayer requests were answered today?  Faith believes it receives ahead of time (Mark 11:22-24).  This is a message that exhorts us to "Dare to Imagine".

How To Forgive

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

The cross is clearly a symbol of the grace of God as we think about Jesus bearing the punishment of all our sins.  But did you stop to consider that He not only died for your sins but also for every sin that has been committed against you?  At the cross we can lose both guilt and bitterness.

The Kingdom of Heaven is Forcefully Advancing

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

There is a forceful advancement taking place in the Kingdom of God.  It is both internal and external.  Each time we bring our thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Christ His kingdom advances.  Each time we spread the Gospel of Jesus to another soul His Kingdom advances.  It advances within us and around us.

What Do You See?

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

There is a great Old Testament story (2 Kings 6:8-17) where the prophet Elisha and his servant are surrounded by horses and chariots.  In panic the servant says, "What shall we do"?  The prophet says, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them".  So the Lord opens the servant's eyes to see a mountain full of horses and chariots of fire.  As a Christian there are more with you than there are with them.  The question is, "What do you see"?
