Jesus told us that a servant is not greater than the master. Because He was persecuted, we will also be persecuted. If Jesus couldn't say and do everything in such a way that no one would speak bad of Him, we're not going to be able to do it either. This message deals with "The Promise of Persecution" and how to walk through it with peace and joy!
The scripture tells us (Ephesians 2:10) that we are His workmanship and that we have been created for "good works" that He has ordained us to walk in. God desires that we "answer His call" and fulfill His great plan for our lives.
As we become eternity minded, we start "looking at things not seen". But how can a person look at something that he or she can't see? This message answers that question and looks specifically at what some of those "unseen" things are.
Paul commands Timothy to "lay hold on eternal life". The scripture (2 Peter 1:4) tells us that through God's precious promises we become partakers of the divine nature. It's through the Word of God that we "lay hold" of the eternal life inside us.
